TUNISIA
- A country for the adventure cyclist. A land of amazing contrasts; magnificent
coastlines, beaches, mountains, desert oasis, landscapes, and Roman sites.
Ride the wave of
history on an incredible cycle journey through Southern Tunisia.
The people are friendly and courteous and have a tradition of welcoming travellers.

A unique journey designed to incorporate the best cycling roads and scenery
in Southern Tunisia.

We
visit some of the finest of the world's surviving Roman Sites (such as the great
El Jem Coliseum).
We enjoy
the peace and tranquility of a small island off the coast with its own special
atmosphere and magic.

Enroute
we visit Berber heartlands with their hill oasis villages and fortified granaries.
We explore an enchanting
oasis town at the fringe of the Northern Sahara which was one of the most extensive
ancient caravan routes linking Timbuktu.
We
continue north along the edge of the desert near Algeria to the mountains of central
Tunisia. Enroute we visit Troglodyte villages amidst weird lunar landscapes. Our
ride in the mountains takes us through small Berber villages with their lush palmeries
and an abundance of fresh fruit.
There
is ample time to relax and explore the many ancient Roman sites during the tour.
A route designed by John Fulton (Director, Wildcat Adventures) from experience
gained over 20 years leading adventure tours throughout North Africa.
