Hi Folks,
Our first Newsletter of the year starts off with a wee challenge!
We have set up a new cycle (road / mountain bike) trip riding from the North of Scotland back to Stirling Castle. The trip is the Celtic Trail North to South 11-24 August 2007. It will be a combination of road and offroad riding through the best scenery in the west of Scotland and is scheduled 11-24 August 2007.

We
will travel through remote unspoilt areas on excellent single track highland roads
(paved) and use old highland drove roads (offroad). To reach some of the inaccessible
areas in Knoydart we will use small short ferry crossings over the lochs.
The first week will largely (90%) be on small surfaced single track paved roads (no traffic except sheep and sheep dogs!)
The second week will be largely offroad (80%) passing through the Isle of Skye into Knoydart, Sunart, Glencoe, and the Trossachs.
There will be a rest day midway through the 2 week tour near the Isle of Skye. Here there will be an option to ride (for the androids!) or explore the magnificent seacoast.
As usual the tour will be fully vehicle supported and Brigitte, Colin, and myself will be guiding. The support vehicle will carry a range of spares and your road tires for those wishing to ride the road sections on smoother faster tires.
The tour can be done entirely on the road for those preferring to ride on quiet surfaced roads.
We hope you will be able to join
us on this two week trip. There is a possibility that we could arrange the trip
to be done in 2 sections for those not being able to afford 2 weeks away from
home. The first week would be from Durness in the northwest to the Isle of Skye.
The second week from the Isle of Skye to Stirling Castle. Please contact us for
price details on the one week option.
