Mountain Biking Skills Week NO
Experienced Required: Just a willingness to learn, make new friends, ride
with your peers and have a great time! The
Cairngorm Mountains area offers the best mountain biking in the UK – the
perfect location to hone your skills! Transport
from our base in Stirling to start of training week and back to base at end of
training week is included !

The 7-day course is led by John Fulton. John is the Director of Wildcat Adventures,
John is a qualified SMBLA
Mountain Bike Leader and was one of the original contributors in setting up the
initial course syllabus which today provides a framework and qualification for
Leaders to deliver mountain biking as a safe and enjoyable sport and activity.
John’s racing and touring experience over 30 years in Europe, North Africa,
and the Middle East complements his easygoing manner and excellent teaching skills.
Joining
John is Brigitte Lucas, a qualified SMBLA Mountain Bike Leader who has been working
with Wildcat Adventures in both Scotland and Morocco since 1999. She is an experienced

Travelling
from Glasgow/Edinburgh airports:
>From Glasgow airport
take a bus (run every 10 minutes on weekdays and every 15 minutes on weekend,
cost is £3.30 one way, bus no 905 (from Bay 2) into the city (approx 25
minute ride) getting off at West George Street for the Queen Street Train Station
and then take the train (40 minute ride) to Stirling. Our meeting point is a 10
minute walk from the train station. >From Edinburgh airport take
bus (run every 10 minutes daily 24 hrs per day, cost is £3.40 one way, bus
no 100 from Stand 18) into the city (approx 25 minute ride) getting off at Waverley
Train Station and then take the train (50 minute ride) to Stirling. Our meeting
point is a 10 minute walk from the train station.

intermediate and advanced female riders out there to fine tune their skills and
enjoy a week of excellent cycling with their peers from our base in Speyside.

Skills Week Photo Gallery Our
base for the Women’s Mountain Bike Skills Week is Kingussie in the heart
of Speyside where we stay in a wonderful Highland Guest House. Throughout
the week, instruction is given on bike setup, general maintenance, riding position
and skills, trail side repairs, route finding and navigation, river crossings,
clothing, nutrition, fitness, weather, etc. Each
day combines both instruction and of course interesting and varied mountain bike
rides on the wide variety of double track and single track trails. Daily
rides are set in accordance with group experience and fitness (15-30miles).
PROGRAMME:
Day
1 - Meet at our base in Stirling (2 pm) - Transfer to our
training base in the Cairngorm Mountains. Begin Instruction. Days
2 to 7- Training and Guided Rides in the beautiful Cairngorm Mountains Day
7 - Transfer to Stirling INSTRUCTION
INCLUDES: Bike
Setup: - Setting up the bike for comfort and to accommodate your
