TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

The Support Team:

We have put together a strong and experienced support team consisting of English speaking Guides, a chef, a cycle mechanic. Our four wheel drive support vehicles will travel with us at all times. The vehicles are large enough to carry all participants, luggage, food, bikes, etc. This enables members to ride and rest as they wish.

scottish mainland road tourThis tour has been specially designed for adventure travellers who are looking for an exhilarating cultural experience combined with Easy/moderate wilderness cycling.

We visit the ancient Buddhist monastery of Amarbayasgalant, probably the most impressive set of temples in the country.






We enjoy a scenic train ride before embarking on our 6 days riding through remote and wonderful mountain scenery, partly forested with beautiful rivers.

Our cycling finishes at the ancient Buddhist monastery of Amarbayasgalant, probably the most impressive set of temples in the country - all the more so because of its remote location!


OUTLINE ITINERARY
Northern Mongolia
& Cultural Experience (MTB)

Day 1 - Arrive Ulaanbaatar. Transfer to 4-star hotel to relax. Evening train to Northern Mongolia. Overnight on train.

Day 2 to Day 7 - (6 days riding)
Arrive early morning to be met by the support crew. Assemble bikes and start our 6 days of riding through unspoilt, prestine wilderness.

A magical experience meeting the polite and charming Mongolian Nomads enroute.

Overnight in tents for the cycle period.

All *food is cooked by our experienced Mongolian chef. We eat in a large 'kitchen' tent with tables and chairs supplied. (B, L, D)

*Food: As in all our tours in Mongolia there is a wide selection of western type food provided (pastas, meat, vegetables, fruit, nuts, cereals, cheese, and bread). All bottled water is supplied)

Day 8 - Return by jeep to Ulaanbaatar along the main road linking the capital with the Russian border. Overnight hotel. (B, L)

Day 9 - Transfer to airport for departure. (B)

Biking Profile

Moderate Terrain
Approx 300 km total

Our exciting mountain biking route is located in the north of Mongolia not far from the border with Siberia in an area rarely visited by tourists.

The cycling is excellent and the terrain is 100% offroad riding consisting of gravel (jeep) tracks, compacted mud (becoming more technical to ride if wet), steep rocky passes, and long grassy slopes.


The route require some technical skills to negotiate the steep rocky passes.

Grade (details) : This tour is rated Easy/Moderate

EXTENSION TRIPS - Many participants elect to extend their visit in Mongolia and visit Beijing and Moscow. Wildcat Adventures can arrange accommodation, guides, and transfers for your extension trip.
